Hydraulic cylinders and control units for Biogas plants
AGB Biogas offers an all-round service, to ensure customers’ biogas plant feed systems work smoothly.
That’s why we perform tests and repairs both both on AGB brand components and on those of our competitors.
In the case of hydraulic cylinders and control units, AGB Biogas can:
- Make AGB brand components as per customer requirements
- Test and repair hydraulic control units of any type
- Provide the required spare parts (e.g. solenoid valves, pumps, joints, filters, electric motors, etc.)
Let’s take a look at the role these components play in a biogas plant!
Hydraulic control units
Hydraulic control units represent the heart of every hydraulic system as they convert the me-chanical energy produced by the motor into powerful hydraulic flows capable of moving cylinders and other mechanisms.
As the motor turns, it rotates the pump. The latter sucks in oil from a tank and pushes it through a series of pipes and valves towards the drives to which the control units are connected.
Hydraulic control units consist of the following parts:
- Motors
- Pump
- Cylinders
- Pressure valves
- Solenoid valves
- Heat exchangers
- Elastic joints
- Filters
- Joint bell housings
If any of these parts are worn and need replacing, AGB Biogas can assist by providing the solution that best suits your needs.
Hydraulic cylinders
Hydraulic cylinders consist of two elements:
- The piston, which has a round shape and moves within it by means of a fluid (almost always hydraulic oil).
- The cylinder, the hollow part. The fluid inside the cylinder creates pressure on the piston, generating its movement.
Hydraulic cylinders have many applications in the mechanical sector and are vital to the operation of a wide range of systems.
