Installation of a 20m3 screw conveyor Biomixer in Lodi

A farm in the province of Lodi that owns a 300kW Biogas plant commissioned us to build a 20m3 Biomixer.

The customer requested a screw conveyor mixer with manual opening of the upper riser.


Screw-type mixer for biogas plants

The AGB Biogas technical office therefore built a 20m3 Biomixer complete with a set of screw con-veyors to feed the digester, featuring:

  • Discharge door with hydraulic opening and position sensors
  • Stainless steel screw conveyor set, for greater resistance to corrosion and wear
  • Mixer tank fully lined with stainless steel

The Biomixer doses the processed material (e.g. cattle manure and other farm by-products); this is then carried into the digester by screw conveyors according to the general software settings of the plant.
